Newswire Okkervil River releases free covers EP

In 2007, when Okkervil River released one of its best albums, The Stage Names, it posted a free EP of cover songs online called Golden Opportunities. Now several months after putting out this year's I Am Very Far, Okkervil River decided to get generous again with Golden Opportunities 2, which features songs by cult figures like enigmatic '70s L.A. singer-songwriter Jim Sullivan and British singer-pianist Bob Fay.
