Pavement reunion: turns out it's gonna be a whole tour
Matador Records announced this morning that Pavement's 2010 reunion won't just be a one-off show in New York, but rather a world tour. So stop checking Priceline and hold your horses for a second, Pavementeers. There are no dates beyond the one yet, but the Matador Blog says, "After years of speculation, the most important American band of the 1990’s is returning to the stage, with the lineup of Mark Ibold, Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West reuniting for dates around the world in 2010. Please be advised this tour is not a prelude to additional jaunts and/or a permanent reunion."
They'd also like you to know that Spiral Stairs has a new record coming out on October 20, and that the pre-sale for the one announced Pavement show (September 21 of 2010) begins tomorrow, a damn year before the show!
