Newswire RIP Captain Lou Albano

Professional wrestler, wrestling manager, and sorta-actor (also: friend of Cyndi Lauper) Captain Lou Albano died today. He was 76. Though he wrestled as far back as the '50s, pop-culture junkies like us probably know him best from his appearance as Lauper's father in the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" video, and from the WWE's mid-'80s golden era. (Back then it was the WWF, dammit, before those pesky panda bears starting making trouble!) Albano also made lots of guest appearances on TV shows, including 227. See below.
