Late last year, The A.V. Club presented a ten-date tour starring VHS Or Beta and presented by Killian's Irish Red. All of the shows were free, and we picked most of the opening bands via a Facebook voting system. Rather than simply let the memories of these joyous concerts fade away, we sent along cameraman Alex Johnson to act as a fly on the wall, and music editor Marah Eakin to ask some questions. This video documents the gritty realism of Detroit. Fun fact: The opening band features Ted Kindig, whose "Ballad Of Oscar Homeslice" won our Parameter Film Competition.
