Sam Neill joins J.J. Abrams' Alcatraz
Right, that "knowing smirk" thing.
J.J. Abrams’ next time-travelin’ island mystery series Alcatraz has found another of its leads in Sam Neill, who will play “Emerson Hauser, the head of a government agency who radiates authority and piercing intelligence,” presumably by doing that "knowing smirk" thing that Sam Neill does. Here’s guessing he does it a lot in Jorge Garcia’s direction. Neill (who most recently did small-screen mystery on Happy Town) has played a government agent investigating the paranormal before—notably in 1992’s Memoirs Of An Invisible Man, but he’d probably appreciate it if we didn’t bring that up. Or post the trailer.
