Seinfeld rape joke backlash
Jerry Seinfeld caught flak from anti-rape activists today after joking about rape in the New York Daily News. During an interview to promote his upcoming animated feature Bee Movie, Seinfeld was quoted as quipping, "Bees have the only perfect society on earth ... They have no crime, they have no drugs, they have no rape. A little rape, but it's not that bad." Outraged responses ranged from "It was offensive" to "Rape is not a joke" to (in our case) "What the hell does that even mean?"
