Simpsons producer disavows connection to Scientology
Statement issued in response to Cartwright's voicemail
On the heels of Nancy Cartwright, voice of Bart Simpson and devout Scientologist, sending out a cringe-inducing robo-call touting some Scientology nonsense, executive producer Al Jean has issued a quick statement, which basically says exactly what you'd think:
"The Simpsons does not, and never has, endorsed any religion, philosophy or system of beliefs any more profound than Butterfinger bars," he said, according to a report from E!.
Good to see Jean gave a shout-out to his overlords at Nestle, though!
