In this clip from a 2007 documentary, Werner Herzog tries to explain his worldview, which is (sort of) that he takes everything at face value. When he sees a chair, it's just a chair. And when he sees a man, it's not a gay man or a straight man--even if that man is as obviously, fantastically gay as his old friend John Waters.
