200 Million Years

Denver-based band 200 Million Years lays it all out in its bio, which explains the band “seeks to bring audience into a universe where reality is fashioned both by the band and the unique emotions of each listener.” The group—Zale Hassler, Ellison Park, and Carl Sorensen—list Radiohead, Sigur Ros, and Ghostface Killah as several of its more prominent influences. Those influences, especially Radiohead, can all be heard on the group’s self-titled EP and follow up album, Ma, both of which fuse electronics, rock, funk, and a heavy dose of experimentation into psychedelic jams.
