Nostalgia rears its head again in yet another Hollywood adaptation of a small-screen hit of yesteryear. This time, the late-’80s FOX drama that launched the career of Johnny Depp (and, to a lesser degrees, Holly Robinson and Richard Grieco) gets the treatment, using the same premise as the original show: undercover cops passing themselves off as high school students to keep watch on juvenile delinquents in their natural setting. For the big-screen version, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill (who co-wrote the film) do their best to play young in a revved-up version of the story that promises to be high on action and low on moral nuggets. Rumor has it a few of the original stars make cameos—but going any further would be giving it away, right?
