Artist 88 Fingers Louie

Named for a Flintstones gangster, Chicago punk group 88 Fingers Louie originally formed in 1993. A year after releasing its first LP, Behind Bars, in 1995, the band embarked on an international tour; midway through, tensions reared and the band broke up with dates yet to be played. Original members Denis Buckley and Dan Wlekinski (a.k.a. Mr. Precision) decided to have another go at it in 1998, adding John Carroll and Joe Principe and releasing another LP, Back On The Streets. In 2009, the band began yet another reunion effort—though Principe, busy with Rise Against, isn't joining—to offer fans and newcomers alike another welcome chance to delve into Chicago's storied punk history.
