A Storm Of Light

A Storm Of Light has been loudly gathering attention for the past four years, but the shifting lineup has a long history with other abrasive groups: Josh Graham is a veteran of Red Sparowes, and one-time collaborator Vinny Signorelli is a seasoned New York percussionist who has worked with Unsane, Swans, and others. The latest drawn-out epic from the band, As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade, is massive right down to its title, and it trades in the slow curdling, doom-drenched subset of heavy metal.
