Artist Adam Arcuragi And The Lupine Chorale Society

  • Adam Arcuragi And The Lupine Chorale Society Veronica Rose

Adam Arcuragi coined the term “death gospel” for the music he makes with The Lupine Chorale Society, and the tunes on his 2009 album, I Am Become Joy, are a perfect example of this invented genre. Vocally and lyrically, it’s easy to draw comparisons between Arcuragi and Will Sheff of Okkervil River, as they both have a nice croon and a serious knack for telling stories in songs. It’s just that Arcuragi’s stories are a little on the darker side. Arcuragi and his bandmates are now touring behind a new record, Like A Fire That Consumes All Before It.
