Al Green
On Sunday mornings at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, about a mile away from Graceland, one can find another music legend: Al Green. He’s been a reverend there since 1976, leading services where he alters his smooth, sexually charged songs like “Here I Am (Come And Take Me)" to be about Jesus. In 2008, Green made a return to popular music with his album Lay It Down, which was produced by The Roots’ drummer ?uestlove and included duets with John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae. He followed it up in 2009 with reissues of his classics Livin' For You, Let's Stay Together, and Greatest Hits, so don't expect much in the way of new material—but the classics should sound good all the same.
