Artist Alton Brown

  • Alton Brown

For more than 10 years, Alton Brown employed elaborate homemade props, puppets, puns, and pop culture in the service of food education on his Peabody Award-winning cooking show on the Food Network, Good Eats. Brown recently called an end to the program, but he’s just as likely to be recognized for bringing his affinity for food science and history to the Iron Chef America stadium as a commentator; setting out on the road for his Feasting On Asphalt and Feasting On Waves mini-series; and writing a trio of cookbooks that revisits the last decade of Good Eats, tweaking recipes and giving behind-the-scenes tidbits on every episode. Brown is currently making appearances in support of the final book in the series, Good Eats 3: The Later Years.
