Anal Cunt

When Seth Putnam formed Anal Cunt, he aspired to create the worst band in the world. He succeeded to a large degree. The formula is this: Each “song” consists of about a minute of nearly identical death-metal grinding, which is then given an offensive name from the silly to the outright diseased. The new Fuckin’ A retains Putnam’s strangled goblin screaming and bad jokes—but in structure and sound, cock-rocking tracks like “Yay! It’s Pink!” and “I’m Going To Give You AIDS” find AxCx downright hell bent for leather. As the umlauts on the album’s cover attest, Fuckin’ A is more tongue-in-cheek experiment than stylistic sea change—an album of “classic” Anal Cunt, The Same Old Shit, is due later this year.
