HOLIDAY SALE AT THE ONION STORE

Artist Andy Rourke

Andy Rourke, best known for his bass work in The Smiths, has managed to keep busy since the band’s perpetually mourned 1987 breakup. Rourke could have easily rested on the laurels of his eternal indie rock cred, but instead takes his passion for dance music and blends it with crowd-pleasing classic rock and indie jams on the airwaves and in the studio. Since bowing out of the punny all-bassist supergroup Freebass, Rourke has devoted most of his time to Jetlag, a catch-all title used for both his radio show on Eastvillageradio.com and his new studio project, which has remixed tracks by groups like Tokyo Police Club and Gang of Four.
