Apostle Of Hustle holds down the “rock” division of Toronto’s Arts & Crafts label, but like labelmates Broken Social Scene and Bell Orchestre, the band isn’t afraid to let song structures teeter on the brink of chaos. A new album, Eats Darkness, has plenty of hooks to go around, but for every sweet pop melody there’s a kitchen-sink jam reminiscent of the band’s more experimental brethren.
