Artist Arj Barker

Comedian Arj Barker is mostly known now as Dave, the bandana-wearing pal of struggling musicians Jemaine and Bret on HBO’s Flight Of The Conchords. But like the other ringers in the show’s cast, Barker has an extensive résumé. Along with years of stand-up, he co-wrote the off-Broadway hit The Marijuana-Logues with Doug Benson and Tony Camin. On Conchords, fans can watch Barker hand out advice about life in America to hapless Kiwis, but a chance to catch his stand-up act shouldn’t be missed. His observational humor is absurdist and funny, even sans bandana.
