Art Garfunkel

Two recent benchmarks in the solo careers of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel capture their post-duo success in a nutshell: In 2007, Simon was named the first winner of the Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song--complete with a star-studded, nationally televised concert--while Garfunkel put out yet another mostly ignored set of vocal standards (Some Enchanted Evening) on which he covered Gershwin. But hey, that's fine: Garfunkel was always just a voice (and an odd mop of hair) anyway, so there's no reason to perpetuate an unfair comparison. Here, Garfunkel will fill the room with his soft, fragile tenor on a selections of tunes that'll include plenty of beautiful chestnuts like "The Sounds Of Silence" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water."
