HOLIDAY SALE AT THE ONION STORE

Artist Asia

It’s easy to forget that English prog-rock juggernaut Asia is technically a “supergroup,” and that its inescapable 1982 single “Heat Of The Moment” was the product of the minds behind Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, and The Buggles. It’s also easy to forget that the group was an early MTV staple, back when it was still possible for a bunch of dudes pushing 40 to become swoon-worthy video heroes. (We’re looking at you, Huey Lewis.) Like many groups of its era, Asia has seen constant lineup changes and iterations over the years, though the band is currently touring with all four founding members—a good sign for fans that will settle for nothing less than the original Asia flavor.
