After an eviction from its old stomping grounds earlier this year, Atlas Improv has resoundingly bounced back with a new venue on East Wash and (undoubtedly) a new appreciation for what they do, namely Theatresports. Theatresports sounds like an unlikely marriage of two extremely disparate activities, but it is much more theater, specifically improv, and it simply borrows a points system and the thrill of competition from sports. Two teams of improvisational performers take turns challenging each other to games, with the audience there to call out suggestions, award points, and possibly get involved. Atlas provides the teams, and also instruction on the side for aspiring teams that think they can take down the improv pros.
