Au Revoir Simone

Au Revoir Simone—named after a line from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, yes!—plays keyboard-intensive indie pop with a pronounced winsome streak about it. The band's 2005 debut, Verses Of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation, alternated between bubbling whimsy and sullen moodiness—a pair of states expanded on the 2007 follow-up, The Bird Of Music, and Still Night, Still Light, a 2009 album with an ever more precious bent.
