Artist Autolux

Taking six years to release the follow-up to its debut, Future Perfect, may have affected Autolux’s profile, taking it from opening for Nine Inch Nails to headlining a significantly smaller tour. But the time that lapsed before releasing the new Transit Transit didn’t alter the angular melodies and ghostly harmonies that endeared its debut to Trent Reznor and critics alike. And though the shadowy thumping of sparse songs like “Highchair” reward the patient listener, it’s the immediate charge emitted from doom-and-gloom rock like “Supertoys” that will tower over the crowd noise in a live setting.
