Artist B. Dolan

Born out of New York City’s slam poetry scene, Bernard Dolan began pairing his dense rhymes with strong beats by the end of the ’90s. In 2002, he released his musical debut, The Failure, signing to Sage Francis’ label, Strange Famous Records, two years later. His 2010 release, Fallen House, Sunken City, showcases his uncanny ability to spit and, with similarities to Francis and Buck 65’s genre-bending elements, the album proved that Dolan is another master of eclectic hip-hop production. Now, Dolan’s fans—and avid followers of Francis’ crew—will have to wait and see what this poet offers up during 2011.
