Basement Jaxx

Basement Jaxx make music that sounds like it was made by several dozen people each working in isolation on a shared idea that was only just barely sketched out in advance—and that's a good thing. It's even a great thing, as evidenced by a string of albums and singles that count among the most distinctive works of dance music in the past 15 years. The latest album, Scars, tones it down (comparatively speaking), but the emotion it churns still makes for a lot of sensation.
