Artist Battlefields

Minnesota's Battlefields wander a gloomy, vague realm of metal that offers much to get lost in, from low-end mud-puddles to lofty ambience. Though their songwriting often fits all too perfectly into the "post-metal" category, Battlefields' debut album, 2009's Thresholds Of Imbalance, is at least a good wallow, showing enough restraint to explore the creepy territory between sludge and star-blindness.
