A.V. Club: Best of the Decade

Artist Beatallica

Beatallica mines an extremely narrow musical vein—Beatles covers done up as Metallica songs—but the Milwaukee-based spoof group gets every last bit of gold from the idea on its 2007 full-length debut, Sgt. Hetfield’s Motor Breath Pub Band. Last year, Beatallica released the maxi-single “All You Need Is Blood,” which was intended as a thank-you release for all their fans around the world: It has 13 different versions of the song in various languages, from English and Polish to South Korean and Estonian. The band just released its sophomore record, Masterful Mystery Tour.
