Artist Beep Beep

Five years is a lifetime in indie rock, as the members of Beep Beep well know. After releasing 2004’s well-received debut Business Casual on Saddle Creek, the band all but disappeared. Casual’s follow-up, Enchanted Islands, just came out, and it’s likely not a lot of people remember Beep Beep at all. It doesn’t help that the new disc picks up right where its predecessor left off—that is, back when falsetto-pierced, angle-riddled post-punk was all the rage. Still, there’s enough sensuous, sinewy pop in Beep Beep’s formula to make up for all that missing time.
