Beerfest

The Broken Lizard comedy troupe, which gave the world Super Troopers and Club Dread, has seen diminishing returns with each successive outing, and 2006’s Beerfest in particular received more than its fair share of harsh criticism, most of which dubbed it nothing more than a “drunken frat-boy romp.” Well, duh. But under the right circumstances—say, after a few rounds of beer pong and other bouts of competitive drinking—this frothy comedy about two slacker brothers who stumble on a German Fight Club-style beer competition goes down a lot smoother, and the stupid antics magically transform from insulting to sublime.
