Artist Ben Sidran Trio

Ben Sidran is most recognizable as a longtime contributor on National Public Radio, hosting shows like Jazz Alive and Sidran On Record, which just culminated in a 24-CD box set composed of interviews Sidran did with jazz artists like Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins. But Sidran is also an accomplished musician across a lot of genres—he wrote Steve Miller Band’s “Space Cowboy,” for one—and has recorded a mind-blowing 25 solo albums. So the pianist, along with bassist Nick Moran and guitarist Louka Patenaude, has a lot of back catalog to mull over, including a particularly bouncy (and much more vocally restrained) rendition of “Tangled Up In Blue” off Sidran's recently released album of Bob Dylan covers, Dylan Different.
