Artist Benny Benassi

Starting out on the production side of music in early ’90s, Benny Benassi didn’t begin putting out electro-house mixes of his own until 2001. Shortly after the transition, the Italian DJ found worldwide success and gold-record status with the 2003 hump-worthy single “Satisfaction.” A remake of the song’s video, featuring sweaty girls manhandling power tools, helped solidify Benassi’s name as a sought-after club DJ, and spawned dozens of remixes of the track. In 2008, the DJ-producer released Rock N’ Rave, though the album failed to yield anything close to the mass appeal of “Satisfaction.” Perhaps he’ll top it with new material recorded with recent collaborators Kelis, T-Pain, or Chris Brown.
