One of the less popular hits for its Google search terms, Austin band Black Cock deserves just as many downloads as any other result on the list. The band’s debut LP, Robot Child With A God Complex, is a growling, dirty rock record with electronic placeholders and almost subliminal male and female vocals wrapped up in the din. Like straight-talking renegade warriors Archers Of Loaf, Black Cock makes pretty and powerful kinds of noise, combining into music that’s a worthwhile listen.
