Blue Man Group

For something so inherently dorky, Blue Man Group taps into some aggressive, primal urges with its combination of humor, music, and colors so bright they make eyes pop out of heads. The stage show, which resembles a mixture of Daft Punk futurism and Blade Runner industrial dreamscapes, addresses the very human need to pound the ever-loving crap out of objects that make up our sometimes constraining environment. While it’s not exactly a Gwar show, some of the materials (i.e. paint) that the Blue Men knock around on stage gets into the front rows, which could ruin clothing but is a small price to pay for such a visceral experience.
