Artist Bob Log III

In the late ’90s, with a dilapidated jalopy of cardboard boxes, slide guitar, and general incoherence, Bob Log III began carving out a weird niche in music history, and probably medical textbooks. Having evolved into a one-man project, using a motorcycle helmet/microphone rig that renders his bizarre songs unintelligible, there’s really no way to discern what he’s hollering about. Log Bomb, from 2003, is a case in point: Though “Boob Scotch” evidently asks women to stir his Scotch with their tits, obtuse songs as “Fuckhole Parade” are better left unexplained. 2009’s My Shit Is Perfect, is required listening for fans of Tom Waits’ stranger, grizzlier side.
