Braid
Champaign-Urbana’s Braid spent its six-year existence adeptly integrating emo aggression with flourishes of indie-rock. Frame And Canvas was a high-water mark for the group—as well as the genre—that saw Braid disband shortly after its release. With the Closer To Closed EP, Braid is releasing its first piece of new music in over a decade, and displaying that none of its chemistry has been lost. With the new EP adding to the impressive discography the band amassed, it’s only fitting that Braid returns to a live setting.
