Breathe Carolina

Denver’s Breathe Carolina—Kyle Even and David Schmitt—is one of those electropop duos that can bring out the robot in just about anyone once it’s turned up loud enough. And these dudes know your pain: Remember that time you left your phone in the cab so you didn’t have to deal with talking to someone when you were just trying to party? Schmitt and Even empathize in “Blackout,” from the new Hell Is What You Make It, supplying such highly-relatable lyrics as “I’m not okay. / I left my phone in the cab, / now you can’t get me. / I’m only getting started, / I won’t blackout.”
