Brent Weinbach

Brent Weinbach

San Francisco comedian Brent Weinbach has an odd, nerdy delivery that he prefers to his normal voice (he explains in one bit that he just finds it more interesting), but that’s just one of the many accents he adopts in his stage act, which can veer from lightly self-referential to bizarre and creepy without warning. As a substitute teacher in Oakland, Weinbach ran into a lot of “thug” types—an experience he recounts with dead-on impersonations. That knack for fully inhabiting characters, combined with his abnormally dark humor, makes him one of the more unusual acts working the circuit, and a favorite opener for the likes of Patton Oswalt.
