A.V. Club: Best of the Decade

Artist Bret Michaels

Rocker Bret Michaels would like you to believe he’s more than just an oversized bandana and a shiny wig with a “lifestyle” that not just anyone could keep up with. Anyone who has caught a glimpse of his trashy VH1 reality show Rock Of Love knows Michaels is mostly just the former lead singer of a cheesy ’80s rock band with a penchant for silicone. That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to like about Michaels, who charges around the stage pumping his fist in womanly tank tops before pulling up a stool for his cheesy ballad, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Up next, Michaels releases his autobiography Roses & Thorns and continues to tour behind 2008’s Rock My World.
