Buckcherry
Like a dog that never gets bored of choking down the same old dog food year after year, Buckcherry never bothers to do much that’s interesting or fun with its half-digested classic rock and grunge. In fact, the band seems to revel in its cock-swinging dullness, so much so that 2008’s Black Butterfly earned a mere 1.5 stars from the usually forgiving AllMusic Guide. Perhaps that drubbing inspired the band to step up its game, since its 2010 follow-up, All Night Long, earned a three-star rating from the same source, while still being called out for an inability to deliver neither songs nor hooks.
