Burning Love

Originally a side project born from the ashes of Toronto hardcore legends Cursed and stoner-metal outfit Our Father, Burning Love quickly evolved into one of Toronto’s most interesting active touring bands. Fronted by ex-Cursed vocalist Chris Colohan, Burning Love mashes up melodic noise, booming riffs, and evinces a truly impeccable taste in both song titles (“Alien Vs. Creditor”) and covers (most notably, the group’s cover of Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds’ “Jack The Ripper”). After some lineup changes, the band is releasing their second full-length (following 2010’s Songs For Burning Lovers), Rotten Things To Say, this summer, with production courtesy by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou.
