Artist Carnage

Roman Polanski’s latest, an adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s play God Of Carnage, is an odd one. Minimally plotted, Carnage follows two sets of differently upper-crust New York parents who meet after their children roughhouse in a public park. Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly play the button-down liberals, and Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz play the more high-strung professionals. Their attempts at civility unravel as the couples get to know each other, with allegiances shifting as drunken revelations begin to pile up.
