Chain And The Gang

Ian Svenonius is a spirited punk polemicist who has rallied lots of different projects like Nation Of Ulysses, The Make Up, Scene Creamers, Weird War, and, now, Chain And The Gang, a new band that presents itself as something of a blues outfit. It’s the kind of blues that might have coursed through old rock ’n’ roll records more than straight-up blues, but it’s a big part of Svenonius’ always very pointed and pointed ideological thrust. The group’s new sophomore album, released by K Records, is called Music’s Not For Everyone, and it’s about as a self-aware and cheeky as the title implies.
