Charlie Daniels Band
Charlie Daniels is the man behind “The Devil Went Down To Georgia,” the foot-stomping novelty song perfectly suited for Northern redneck fantasists. Before writing his anthem in 1979, the flashy fiddler worked as a session man, showing up on Bob Dylan’s classic Nashville Skyline, among other albums, and backing Leonard Cohen in the late ’60s. Most recently, of course, Daniels has become better known for his outspoken conservative politics, becoming a favorite of the FOX News set with the post-9/11 song “This Ain’t No Rag, It’s A Flag.” It’s a tradition he proudly carries on with 2010’s mega-patriot collection, Land That I Love, containing a lot of re-recordings of his boldest flag wavers and the new cut “Let ‘Em Win Or Bring ‘Em Home.”
