Chimaira

With a sound that borrows equally from thrash metal and Machine Head, Chimaira’s basic M.O. can be boiled down to the pessimistic growls of Mark Hunter ripping across chunky, down-tuned guitars and precise sledgehammer blasts. It’s a sound the band has refined and worked over multiple lineup changes and six albums, culminating in the new The Age Of Hell, a typically heavy release of bludgeoning beats and riffs.
