Chiodos
The post-hardcore template of screaming bloody murder through the verses then singing sweet harmonies on the choruses is currently being applied by roughly thousands of bands. Chiodos’ take on the template deserves mention, if only for its sharp degree of contrast. On tracks like “Caves” off 2010’s Illuminaudio, Chiodos certainly does its best to keep Chloraseptic in business. But on the shockingly delicate choruses and breakdowns, it channels the sensitivity of At The Drive-In.
