Christie Front Drive

Emo ain’t what it used to be, and Christie Front Drive can attest to that. The former Denver band rode the oscilllating waves of early ’90s emo, back when that term meant little more than “not quite punk, and not quite hardcore.” A lot has changed in two decades, but there is one thing that can almost always be counted on: the aging scenester reunion show. CFD’s mounted a handful of them in the past few years, but who knows how many more the band members have got in them? If you’ve never had the pleasure of seeing the band, or simply need one more fix, you’re better off being safe than sorry.
