Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Hey, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, where did you go? It seems like forever ago that you achieved word-of-mouth fame through the Internet and were propelled into “next big thing” status back in 2005. Now, after one lackluster follow-up and a myriad of solo projects like singer Alec Ounsworth’s fairly underwhelming debut Mo Beauty, you’ve just plopped out a third record, Hysterical, to little to no fanfare. While it’s nice to know that those pessimistic rumors about the band being over weren’t true, it’s disheartening all the same to see a band that was once such a big deal just kind of fade away. After all, is it possible to be a one hit wonder without ever really having a hit?
