Artist Cobra Skulls

Reno, Nevada’s Cobra Skulls were already lashing out a tightly coiled punk-rock attack with slightly pasty vocals in the vein of Pennywise and NOFX on 2010’s American Rubicon. So it comes as little surprise that the band was snatched up by Fat Wreck Chords last year, where it quickly began recording this year’s Agitations, with NOFX’s Fat Mike lending a hand on production. Singer and lead songwriter Devin Peralta’s loud bark echoes a slightly less gravely version of Tom Gabel of Against Me!, and the surrounding thudding rhythm section and towering guitar walls posit Cobra Skulls as a jocular sing-along and mosh-pit machine.
