Artist Colder In Moscow

Falling somewhere between The Dismemberment Plan, Wilco, and Joan of Arc, the local indie rockers of Colder In Moscow are unabashed about their late-’90s, college-rock influences. The thing is, this quartet graduated from high school in the ’00s; they’re still relative pups. It doesn’t show from the sonic end, though. Rhythmically advanced and technically precise, Colder In Moscow’s output is remarkably polished—and not to a fault, either. The band is set to release two new EPs in the near future. Funny bit of trivia: The band also harbors an oddly vocal libertarian streak, listing Ron Paul and Ayn Rand among the “Band Interests” on its Facebook page.
